Case Study
Website Design for TaylorMade Consulting:
BEFORE (right): When TaylorMade Consulting approached Studio Perspectives in early 2011, their old website had so many issues they had taken it off the internet. The design lacked identity and in no way projected the tone of the customized fundraising service they offered. Page construction and HTML deviated from standard practices in significant ways — all text was "graphical," meaning it was created as images, not actual HTML text. This made it very ineffective for SEO (search engine optimization).
AFTER (below): The identity and layout were completely redesigned to project a professional, but not overly-corporate tone:
- a new logo and descriptive tagline were integrated into the header
- an illustrated icon of a bonsai tree serves as a visual metaphor for the customized service they offer
- a visual hierarcy of text allows the eye to read small portions of text quickly
- all type was rendered in HTML, which helps greatly with SEO (search engine optimization)
- A right sidebar was created to bring attention to the many value-added services they offer
